My mother-in-law means well, but often purchases the things she likes more than what me or my husband would like for our birthdays and Christmas. This year, for example, when my husband told her he would love a new watch, he even went so far as to tell her the exact watch he wanted, a Citizen AT4008-51E that he described in great detail. His mother decided that she didn’t like that watch and bought him a generic sports watch with a rubber watch band. She decided that my husband would get more use out of something practical. Thankfully, my mother-in-law is good at giving us the receipts for the gifts that she buys and we promptly returned the watch. Now my husband and I are on the hunt for the watch he really wanted and hopefully with a little Internet searching we can find one for a great price that even his mother would approve of.
